Exchange Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards and uses standard Baccarat drawing rules. A shoe containing 8 decks is used for a series of Exchange Baccarat games, and is reset after there are 6 or less cards prior to starting a game OR the remaining cards provide a guaranteed outcome for either the Player and/or Banker.
In order to ensure that all players have an equal knowledge of what cards have already been dealt, a Card Counter table is provided at all times in the Game Movie which shows the cards remaining in the shoe.
What are the Drawing Rules for Exchange Baccarat?
Exchange Baccarat uses the same standard Baccarat drawing rules that you would find in a casino, which are as follows –
Once the player and the banker have both been dealt two cards:
- If either player or banker have a score of 8 or 9 then both players stand. This rule overrides all others
- If the player has a score of 6 or 7 then the player stands
- If the player stands, the banker hits on a score of 5 or less
- If the player has a score of 5 or less, the player hits
If the player takes a third card, then the banker takes a third card in accordance with the following table:
