What are the betting selections for Exchange Baccarat?

In Exchange Baccarat, there are two markets which are available for betting for any given Baccarat game. The two markets each hold different types of betting selections. The first market is known as the Main market and contains the betting selections for the Game Outcome, i.e. Player, Banker or Tie.

In the main market one and only one of the selections will win, with the other two selections losing. In the event of a Tie, the Tie selection will be settled as a winner, however stakes for bets struck on the Player or Banker selection will be returned (all bets on player and banker are settled at odds of 1.0 in the event of a Tie).

Note that the main and sidebet markets are separate exchange games markets, and will have commission charged on each market according to standard Betfair commission charging model.

The second market is known as the Sidebets market, and contains the betting selections for Exchange Baccarat Sidebets. The names and definitions of these are as follows:

  1. Pocket pair in either hand – Will either hand have a pair in their first two cards? Examples:
    • Player has Ace and King, Banker has Five and Five. This selection would be settled as a winner.
    • Player has Ace and Ace, Banker has Five and Five. This selection would be settled as a winner.
    • Player has Ace and King, Banker has King and Five. This selection would be settled as a loser.
    • Player has Ace and King, Banker has Three and Two. This selection would be settled as a loser.

  2. Natural Win – Will the winning hand be a natural 8 or a natural 9? Examples:
    • Player has a King and a Nine (Natural 9), Banker has Five and Five (Score of 0). This selection would be settled as a winner.
    • Player has a King and a Nine (Natural 9), Banker has Five and Four (Natural 9). This selection would be settled as a loser since the outcome is a natural tie.
    • Player has a King and an Eight (Natural 8), Banker has Five and Four (Natural 9). This selection would be settled as a winner.
    • Player has a King, a Four and a Five (Score of 9), Banker has a King, Two and Four (Score of 6). This selection would be settled as a loser.

  3. Natural Tie – Will the game result in a tie, with both player and banker having a natural 9 or a natural 8? Examples:
    • Player has a King and a Nine (Natural 9), Banker has Five and Four (Natural 9). This selection would be settled as a winner.
    • Player has a King and a Nine (Natural 9), Banker has Five and Three (Natural 8). This selection would be settled as a loser.
    • Player has a King and a Seven (Score of 7), Banker has Queen and Seven (Score of 7). This selection would be settled as a loser.

  4. Highest hand is a 9 – Will the highest hand(s) have a score of 9? Examples:
    • Player has a King and a Nine (Natural 9), Banker has Five and Two (Score of 7). This selection would be settled as a winner.
    • Player has a King and a Nine (Natural 9), Banker has Five and Four (Natural 9). This selection would be settled as a winner.
    • Player has a King and a Seven (Score of 7), Banker has Queen and Seven (Score of 7). This selection would be settled as a loser.
    • Player has a King, a Four and a Five (Score of 9), Banker has a King, Two and Four (Score of 6). This selection would be settled as a winner.

  5. Highest hand is odd – Will the highest hand(s) have a score which is odd (i.e. 1,3,5,7 or 9)? Examples:
    • Player has a King and a Nine (Natural 9), Banker has Five and Two (Score of 7). This selection would be settled as a winner.
    • Player has a King and a Nine (Natural 9), Banker has Five and Four (Natural 9). This selection would be settled as a winner.
    • Player has a King and a Seven (Score of 7), Banker has Queen and Seven (Score of 7). This selection would be settled as a winner.
    • Player has an Ace, a Four and a Three (Score of 8), Banker has a King, Two and Four (Score of 6). This selection would be settled as a loser.
    • Player has an Ace, a Four and a Three (Score of 8), Banker has a King, Two and Five (Score of 7). This selection would be settled as a loser.
